Abigale Lee Miller bio

Abigale Lee Miller (born on 21 September 1965), is an American choreographer teacher, dance instructor, and reality TV star. Abby Lee Dance Company was established by her. It was a part of eight seasons of the show Dance Moms. Miller admitted in June of 2016 to fraudulent bankruptcy in the felony category. Miller was sentenced for one and two-and-a-half years in federal prison. She was released on March 27, 2018. In April of 2018, she was diagnosed with lymphoma which is a kind of cancer that makes it difficult for people to walk. She now uses a wheelchair to move around. Miller was born in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. She was a dancer who was a student under her mother at Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. In the year 1980, aged 14, Miller was assigned the task for choreographing and coaching for one of her mother's dance teams. Miller eventually took over the studio in 1995 and changed the name to the company Reign Dance Productions. Miller was accredited by Dance Masters of America in 1986 and was made an official part of Dance Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter 10 in February 2012. However Miller's membership was terminated by the DMA in February 2012 after the DMA declared that Miller's reality TV show Dance Moms was "a complete false representation of teachers and students of dance and is detrimental for the dance industry."
