Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

 Abigail Marie Clancy was born 10 January 1986. She is an English television personality and lingerie model. In 2006, she was runner-up in the British Next Top Model cycle 2. She also won series 11 and 12 of Strictly Come Dancing 2013. Since 2015, she has been hosting Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was born in Liverpool. She is the second oldest one of her four siblings, Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. She grew up in Woolton which is an area in Liverpool and was a student at St Mary's Primary School and St Julie's Catholic High School. Clancy founded the girl band Genie Queen with Andy McCluskey of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Clancy was among thirteen finalist for the Living TV's Britain's Next Top Model's second season in the year 2006. The contest lasted for 10 weeks to win an opportunity to model. Clancy together with fellow contestant Lianna Foller was selected to appear on the finale runway show. Clancy eventually became the runner up. Clancy was the first model to appear on Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was the model for the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike and was featured on the cover of Arena magazine in May 2007. Clancy was chosen to be included in Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue 2010. Clancy was featured because of her connection to Peter Crouch and was photographed in the magazine with only body paint to appear like she was sporting an England shirt, photographed by Yu Tsai. Clancy was wearing an England shirt in Umbro's campaign in 2010, as well as other girlfriends and wives of players from winning nations. Clancy was a model in the Giles Deacon Ready-To-Wear collection Giles Spring 2011 collection.In March 2011, Clancy was featured on the Elite Model Management: New York division website. In July of 2013, she took part of London designer Hasan Hejazi’s campaign. It featured a fashion editorial by Absynth Photographic as well as an upcoming fashion film produced by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy also modeled in the August issue of UK Esquire cover shot by Solve Sundsbo. In December 2013, Clancy was featured in LOVE magazine's Advent Calendar alongside Suki Waterhouse and Cara Delevingne. Clancy made her debut on the cover British Marie Claire's July 2014 issue as well as British Elle's March 2015. Abbey Clancy, along with her daughter Sophia Crouch, collaborated in October 2019 with Lipsy, a London-based fashion company, to introduce their AW'19 collection. The AW19 collection launched in UAE in January 2020.
