Right now, it's not as simple. Comedy is an art form that has been art that has been able continue to be performed before an audience of live. However, we're unlikely to see arena tours anytime in the near future. One Bristol comedian has managed to find an immense global audience during lockdowns through social media. Abi Clarke was not planning out to become an internet popular. Abi Clarke is a young woman of 24 who lives in Henbury , England with her parents, made her first online video to "build a community of similar people who could appreciate my stand-up comedy." "I had been performing a number of shows in the depths of Devon to males who were in their 50s and weren't as enthusiastic about my Love Island, Sims and Twilight references. So I went online with the intention to meet other young women who could relate to me." Abi has since appeared at Lakota Gardens, as the restrictions on lockdowns have been eased however, she continues to upload her videos to Instagram, Twitter and Tik Tok (where she's recently surpassed more than 500,000 followers) In the process, she draws the inspiration she needs from sources as diverse as her work in the cafe, conversations with a stranger or even the girls' group chat. She also writes every thought down on her smartphone.
